Deschutes Brew Pub Bend

Dined at this restaurant for lunch with our two boys. We each enjoyed a pint of the Black Butte Porter while the kids sodas came with lids and straws! (Bonus). Our server was prompt and friendly. The boys had no problem ordering with her, even if they're a bit shy sometimes. The children's menu had a fantastic variety of items to choose from and the boys devoured their chicken strips and corndog (both with fries). I didn't find any vegetarian options on the menu that were overwhelmingly tempting, but I did enjoy the veggie option I chose.
The location is prime for walking to window shop or enjoy the summer festival as we were. Parking was quit limited, but the lunch hour was not too busy and we did not have to wait to be seated.

I give this place three point five pints simply because I can not for the life of me recall what I ate.

Opinions of Carmella

This blog is meant to review my experiences in the food department. I really REALLY like to eat food especially if I don't have to cook it. You're experiences will certainly be different than mine and you may or may not agree with me. All comments and stories are welcomed.
My rating system will use 0 - 5 pints, 0 being not worth a beer at all and five being the best rating I give. Other than that I haven't really figured out a format, so sorry if I seem to be bouncing around a bit.
Thanks for following and commenting.

Old St. Francis School McMenamins

We decided to take our two boy (9 & 10) to eat at McMenamins during the Bend Summer Festival because it was within walking distance. The day was hot, but the enclosed outdoor seating allowed for enough shade to make the experience comfortable. Our server was prompt and interacted well with the children. He even allowed one of them to start the fire pit up as it sun began to fade. We ordered the Ruby Ale (always a favorite of mine) which has a smooth texture and a gently sweet taste.
We were able to put in the kids orders right away and ours after deliberation, perfect for hungry kids. I had the hummus platter. It was precisely as one would expect for a hummus platter, perhaps a bit bigger. (I had leftovers).
After diner we walked through the building to use the bathroom and admire the decor and art.
All in all the experience was wonderful.

I'll give it four pints.
